WEEK 116
God, what is your guidance for me today?
Go with the flow of divine guidance…
not just the effort of your own will.
Let your consciousness be open and expanded,
much like peripheral vision. Be in the world
while remembering your divinity.
Allow yourself to be sensitive to The
Presence, which guides and is
full of wisdom and grace.
To do this is a great spiritual skill.
It is not easy at first but
yields much fruit as one commits
to staying connected to the divine
realm moment by moment.
Your effort mixes with the grace of
divine flow and life becomes more
graceful and beautifully lived.
You become a more powerful being in service
of Divinity… of Divine Will… of Love;
and the energy of your intimate connection
is carried into all of your affairs.
Today, use flow…
and enjoy moving in the graces
that fill it.
Watch what happens.
Evening Reflection
To go with the flow is actually an exercise in letting go. It is telling the ego to lay low in favor of another master.
There are spiritual mystics who describe reaching levels of divine oneness whereby their consciousness is almost entirely in the divine realm, and their body runs on automatic, knowing what to do and say. Much of our body is already on automatic – from our heartbeat to breathing; even our brains are chatterboxes. We can drive somewhere and upon arrival wonder how we got to our destination, realizing we had somehow zoned out as our body knew how to drive without our full attention!
Going with the flow is about expanding our consciousness to include divine guidance as we live our day. The more we practice this skill the better we become at it. The temptation is to become so hooked into the world that we lose track of our divine side. This is a good reason to wear a symbolic, spiritual piece of jewelry or to have something concrete and visible that reminds us to remember who we really are.
I was able to stay expanded off and on today for a few hours at a time. But the demands of the day did hook me often enough. Fortunately, I wore a bracelet that reminded me to reconnect.
How was this for you?
