WEEK 202
God, what is your guidance for me today?
The work you are doing has been ordained
by Me.
Be diligent and complete your task
to the best of your ability.
It is then, when you are putting your heart
and integrity into your work,
that my grace and inspiration moves.
It is then that wisdom flows.
This is what it means to be Co-creators.
Your intelligence and devotion allow
a deep and sustained connection
to My love and guidance.
My thoughts become your thoughts…
My Spirit shines in you as we work together.
The work becomes sacrament as we commune
together in a state of holy union.
The work shines in the firmament,
ready to be received by those
who open their hearts to it.
Be joyful as we work your work together, today.
Evening Reflection
Today’s guidance flowed from my process of preparing a sermon to deliver at the church my father was pastor of when he was alive. My mother is still going strong at 82 and still attends there. I am speaking to people who knew me as a kid. They helped me grow, learn and become; and here I am now, coming to them with a message to help them grow, learn and become!
You know the sentiment about the student becoming the teacher? This is sort of that.
The guidance is about focusing on the work. The result is in God’s hands. And so it is in life. We are only responsible for our work. The rest is up to the powers that be, or a better way to say it… it is up to God.
Taking this in allowed me to write the sermon as an act of fulfilling my calling. It called for me not to project that some may still see me as a kid. It called for me to be the servant of the Lord and write what God was giving me to say to the people.
Those who work any job are called to fulfill that position. Integrity demands doing what you are responsible for doing. When that happens Spirit will flow through it and accomplish what it will. And whatever transpires we can know we have fulfilled our duty.
And we will know that God will use our work for divine purposes.
