WEEK 182
God, what is your guidance for me today?
Today,
be an instrument of God’s love
and peace.
From the tone of your voice to the
words you speak to your body’s
mannerisms,
let your thoughts be a symphony
of kindness…
and let your eyes be as bright
as your smile.
Be aware of the Presence of
Grace today… and that you are in
the midst of it at all times.
Let your response be gratitude such
that “Thank you” is your prayer
and praise today.
Yes, be an instrument of God’s love and
peace…
and in so doing receive continually
what you are offering others today.
Evening Reflection
Today was about helping my wife in a monthly healing session she hosts. When she first started this work, I was not thinking I would be involved. Then, she asked if I would play the piano during the singing and meditation periods. I agreed. It was interesting at first, in that I experienced a role reversal. As a pastor I had been used to standing and leading. Now I am sitting and watching and being an assistant.
It has been wonderful!
Today’s guidance, I felt, was essentially one that encouraged me to focus on being the best helper I could be for the event. I read and reread the guidance to let it settle firmly into my being.
As my wife began the event, she wanted to know why each person had come. The very first person who answered said they came looking for love and peace. I immediately caught that those words were the first line of the guidance! Then, another person in the circle said they came for the grace. I smiled, knowing it was part of the guidance to be aware of the presence of grace. And there grace was, right in that moment – for me! I knew that Divine Presence was affirming my work in writing the guidances. And I silently said, “Thank you.”
And yes, I did receive what I was focused on giving… love and peace.
By the way, bright eyes come from a bright outlook. The eyes are windows into the soul. And I did have that bright outlook. Plus, I smiled a lot. So perhaps my eyes were as bright as my smile.
How did this guidance unfold in your day?
