WEEK 181
God, what is your guidance for me today?
Be diligent in the work you have been
called to.
Today, take a look at the sweep of your
work through the years and recognize how it
has contributed to your present work.
Let gratitude be your response.
Remind yourself today of your life’s purpose
and the overall nature of your work in the world.
Revisit any dreams you have for yourself
and your work.
Acknowledge and honor them. Remind yourself
of how you want to help, serve, and share.
Reaffirm your power of creativity
and make some plans as to how you will manifest
that creativity and move toward your dreams.
Remember, as the Creator has gifted you…
you are to gift life with the sharing of
yours.
Are you doing this?
Evening Reflection
I awakened this morning and went to my home office. I usually write the daily guidance before I launch into the day but decided to check my e-mail first. I shouldn’t have. There were several that called for my attention right away. I answered a few, then pulled myself away to go inward.
This guidance came through it was a reminder that all we do leads to where we are. And that what I do now leads to where I’ll be in the future. All the seeming coincidence, ie. right place-right time, wrong turns and what-ifs all lead to one place… NOW.
Even if one says they are not where they are supposed to be, each of us is where we are now, obviously. It is where our lives have brought us, whether you’d describe it as good fortune, fate, destiny, or luck.
If you don’t like where life has brought you, it may be more difficult to be grateful. My minister dad used to tell me, when I complained of life and a particular hardship I was experiencing… “Well, at least you’re alive to deal with it.”
To be sure, both good and bad times are equal teachers.
Dreams? Well, they are signs of still being interested and intrigued by life. And I do still have dreams. Even while writing this, I know that this effort it is part of sharing my creativity and doing my life’s work. And of course, I hope this gets published so it may be useful and helpful to others.
I love to write. But being diligent is also doing the things one must do that are less exciting but part of the overall calling of life nonetheless.
So, it is time to pay the bills. And I am grateful.
And you?
