WEEK 149

God, what is your guidance for me today?

Be gracious.

That is, let the beauty of your divinity

guide you today.

How?

Keep it connected to the love of the

Christ, allowing the unconditional

nature of it to flow through you.

Do not take things personally today.

Let people be who they are

without need to defend or push back.

Be a beautiful soul… allowing the

grace of Divine Spirit to minister to you

and attend to any hurdles and challenges

that may come.

Give thanks to God for the humility

to be gentle, kind and forgiving…

and for the strength it takes

to let love be the light that

shines forth in all you do, say and are.

Will you do these things today?

Evening Reflection

Graciousness is an amazing quality of being that is too rarely seen. When I do see it I recognize its beauty and are humbled by it. It is the kind of quality that makes me say, “I want to be like that.”

To be gracious is to put others first and be happy to do it. It is not sacrifice; it is service. And from what I have seen, it comes from knowing God’s loving care.

To be gracious is to be hospitable, welcoming, and accommodating. It is letting others speak and listening patiently. It is being forgiving, understanding that we are all human. It is loving with a force of heart that ushers in the presence of God.

To be more gracious is something I strive to be. It is a quality one can grow into day by day. It is perfectly okay to try and fail. It is how we experience, learn, and evolve. Our human ego is quite the force to be reckoned with, and it can only be overcome by our willingness and God’s grace, allowing us to become more gracious.

People may take advantage of a person’s graciousness, but they won’t soon forget it. The radiance of grace is powerful. It is divinity’s light within the soul expressed in kind actions, comforting speech, softness in the tone of voice, gentleness of manner, and a lovingkindness that inspires.

Today’s guidance proved to be a wonderful reminder and challenge to be just as it said… Gracious.

Was I?

I tried to be, but it is really for others to say. Of course, we may never hear it from them, and that is okay. (Even saying that is being somewhat gracious, isn’t it?) Hmm…

How did you fare with this one today?
