Do you take time for recreation in the summer? What do you do to renew your energy?
Do you enjoy swimming or sports? How about camping or hiking? On rainy days do you like to play cards or games?
Active playtime; Doing fun things
Like camping, swimming, playgrounds, parks, games and more!
Recreation is a way to recharge or renew your whole being. It’s a time to take a break from work or school and to re–create yourself through play and fun.
The word recreation stems from the Latin word recreatio which means to create again, to renew or refresh, to restore. And is that not what we do during recreation?
We take time to refresh ourselves, to re-create our whole being, through activities we enjoy. This time invigorates and renews our energy. We feel relaxed, yet energized, and ready to return to our daily lives again.
Way to recharge, renew the soul
Like a vacation from work and school… to play.
What will you choose to do this summer to re-create yourself, to renew and refresh?
Whatever it is, I hope you enjoy it!
