Our bodies are incredible temples that have served us so well in our lives!
Today I invite you to take time to appreciate and honor this gift of your physical body that you’ve been given. Shower it with love and care today!
First, consider what exercise you’d like to do – maybe a hike or a run. Maybe a walk or a bike ride.
Next, consider what food you’ll eat today. How can you feed your physical temple well with nutritious food that nourishes your body?
And how about hydrating with plenty of water?
Let’s not forget about rejuvenating with at least 8 hours of restful sleep.
Feel your strength and well-being in your body today and be grateful for it.
Delight in all the things that it helps you to do – walk, see, listen, touch, run, dance, hug, speak, eat and more!
Take pleasure in the way you move today. Consider how we’re able to use our hands to create. And how we’re able to use our feet to arrive at new points on our journey in life.
Be aware of your senses today, how your physical body interacts with the world. What colors do you see? What sounds do you hear? What do you smell and taste? What do you feel through touch?
Savor each experience.
Open your eyes and your heart to a sense of awe in realizing how we, as human beings, have such incredible bodies. They are the conduit of our human experience and expression in this lifetime.
Be grateful for your body. Appreciate all that it allows you to do in the world.
Be great friends with it today. Give it a loving hug!
