WEEK 67
God, how would you have me grow today?
Today,
just be yourself.
See what comes through without
effort or thought.
Do not try.
Just be you.
And watch yourself being you!
What, you say?
It is your higher awareness
that can observe the person
you call “I”. You can witness
yourself experiencing and expressing life as you.
Do this today, and accept whatever comes through.
Do not judge or comment. Just watch
yourself being yourself.
This will open your awareness to
your level of spiritual growth and
the capacity you have reached this far
in spiritual qualities. So now…
Relax.
Take a few breaths
and enjoy being the divine,
blessed, unique, one-of-a-kind
being you are today.
Relax,
and be your
self.
Evening Reflection
This was actually fun! Especially watching myself in a more conscious way. I had actually learned this skill many years ago training to be an actor. An actor must both be in the moment as the character while managing this unique skill of pretending to be someone else. In my case though, in regards to the guidance, I am not watching a character, per se. Of course it could be argued that I am a character in my own life’s play. Shakespeare would agree, as he reminded us that all the world’s a stage.
Being hyper conscious of being myself was a strange but really cool thing to experience. The coolest thing that happened was a compliment I received. I worked with a choir this evening as a guest artist and taught them a song I had written, which we would perform at an upcoming concert. After the rehearsal the choir director thanked me and told me that I transmit a powerful spiritual energy. What a humbling thing to hear! And yet, I know that as we commit to growing spiritually, others can pick up on our intention and the divine energy we may hold. My father, who was also a minister, held great spiritual energy and power. Many people experienced it and spoke to me of it. His love was powerful and it affected people greatly, helping many to commit to their own transformation. That was father being himself. I can only pray to approach that level, with God’s grace.
