WEEK 167

God, what is your guidance for me today?

Pay close attention today.

To what?

To…

Beauty,

Wonder,

Awe.

Let the natural world talk to you

and tell you its secrets and wisdoms

about

life… about God… about you.

The whole of creation is always whispering

and shouting in celebration and

praise of its Creator.

Pay attention today.

There is something for you to learn,

to know, to realize…

again

and again

and again… always.

Beauty,

awe,

and wonder will tell you.

Evening Reflection

My daughter and I decided to drive to Colorado Springs today just to see what it was like. My parents had taken there as a kid to do the touristy thing the area offers, and I wanted to revisit it now as an adult. We decided to visit a place called Garden of the Gods, which is an area of amazing rock formation one can drive through, or hike through. I remembered it as a kid, but to drive through it now was a moving experience.

And the guidance was right.

The natural beauty of the Garden inspired a sense of awe and wonder. The beauty was self-evident. The rock formations spoke! The whole place whispered and shouted, “Praise God!” “All honor to the Creator!” At least that is what I heard within me. I also had a felt sense of the Creator saying…

“I Am… and these are my works. YOU are my work. All creation is my work… my gift and blessing to life. Feel my love… and my power. Power to create – to manifest. Behold!

Suffice to say it was a powerful experience for me. Beauty, awe and wonder, in the form of a magnificent rock garden, had much to say and reveal. To feel the majesty of these large masses of rock standing on top of earth was to glimpse the majesty of divinity.

And, as many times as I may visit again, I am sure those messages will whisper and shout to me… again,

and again,

and again.
