Sometimes fear can get ahold of us. We freeze or run away, afraid to face what is needed in our lives.
All of us experience this in our lives. We’re human after all.
And it’s at this moment, when we feel fear rise up within us, that we can turn inside to find the strength that’s needed to face our situation.
This is courage.
Courage is the ability to do something that frightens you. Courage is turning inward and finding the strength to face what is needed.
Courage
Unflinching faith; spirit’s brave stand
Like the sun rising to meet darkest night…
And when you’re able to find that strength, that courage, to take the next step, you’re joining hands with hope.
Hope will help you see beyond the pain and difficulty of the present moment.
Courage
Strength in fear’s face, Hope’s bravest friend
Like knowing you will triumph – win or lose
The word courage stems from the Latin word “cor” meaning heart, the seat of our feelings. We find our courage not only in the strength of our physical body to take action, but also in our heart, our feelings, to overcome our fear and pain. We find the strength to keep moving forward, transforming our fear, with a vision of hope for the future.
Where in your life do you need courage?
How can you access it and move forward even if you feel afraid?
